How to take care of your jewelry
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver (925) is a durable metal that is well-suited for everyday use. You can wear your sterling silver jewelry in water, overnight, and during your daily activities.
To avoid unintentional oxidation of your jewelry, it's recommended to avoid wearing it:
- In a spa or chlorinated pool.
- During household chores where you'll be in contact with chemicals, such as bleach.
- During workouts. Avoid pressure, especially on rings, as they can become deformed.
Oxidation is a natural reaction of silver. Contact with air, humidity and heat creates this brownish layer that you can see on your jewelry. It is recommended that you keep your jewelry in a closed container when you are not wearing it. Normally, oxidation occurs over time, but it can be instantaneous, often because the jewelry has been in contact with some substance or even with the acidity of human sweat (especially during summer).
To remove oxidation, it's recommended to purchase our specialized polishing cloth. It will help restore the shine to your jewelry. Additionally, purchasing a silver-specific cleaning solution can be an excellent way to keep your jewelry in perfect condition.
- Rub with a small, slightly abrasive cloth (linen style) with toothpaste and a little bit of water.
- In a glass container lined with aluminum foil, place the jewelry, then cover it with baking soda. Add a pinch of salt and pour in boiling water. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then rinse and dry the jewelry thoroughly.
Gold vermeil (Gold plated)
Gold vermeil jewelry are made of sterling silver and coated with a thick layer of 14k gold, measuring 3 microns. The plating is durable, but it is not permanent.
- Never wear your jewelry in the water
- Keep in a closed container when you are not wearing the jewelry.
- If needed, use a polishing cloth and rub softly the jewelry.

Gold is a fantastic metal that wears well in everyday life. We offer 10k, 14k, and 18k gold, which can be worn in water, overnight, and throughout your daily activities. However, it is recommended to avoid contact with chemicals, such as cleaning products.
- To clean your jewelry, use water and a soft soap and rub gently.
- You can order the polishing cloth that will help give shine to your jewelry. Additionally, purchasing a gold-specific cleaning solution can be an excellent way to keep your jewelry in perfect condition.
Pearls
- Remove your pearls when applying (beauty) products to your body. (Ex: creams, perfumes, fixatives, etc.)
- Remove your pearls when you shower/bath or swim (chlorine is a chemical that can alter the appearance of pearls).
- Occasionally, you can delicately clean your pearls with a soft damp cloth. Do not rub vigorously or with a tool such as a brush. Once cleaned, let your jewelry dry and then store it in its case. Remove your pearl jewelry for any physical activity that could damage it. A pearl can crack if too much pressure is applied to it.
